The Pagani is a completely different animal than a Lamborghini. We had the North American debut of the Zonda at Pocono for Le Belle Macchine d'Italia. The owner of the car (he has 2)said it made his F50 feel like a truck.

The problem is weight. All cars nowadays are way too heavy with all the frills no one really needs.

Josh:
Pagani is hardly an upstart. He worked at Lamborghini for many
years, then branched out and started his own carbon fiber company. At
Lambo, he was responsible for the Anniversary Countach design
(yuck!). So he has solid ties with the company, and his car is a
product of that history.
And, uh, just what is a sweat looking car...

Considering the gap at the end of the race, you could launch it with a
rocket booster and still lose. It lost on the road course too.
The Lamborghini looks way better to me...

The Elise isn't very heavy. Neither is the MR-Spyder.
It's always suprised me to see how much a Lamborghini weighs condsidering
how small some of them are.

Audi didn't buy Lamborghini in the spirit that
Ferruccio made the company...it's a brand...
What the Zonda is doing is exactly that Ferruccio
did when he made the Miura...shook up Ferrari...
who was in business...the fact that it's a Lambo...
that the Zonda takes on...well...what more needs to
be said?

I thought all kit cars were crap?
During the road course test it got stomped by 6 seconds. 6 seconds!
The guy even said the Murci handled better, but the Zonda absolutely
killed it in acceleration. That's where it gained 6 seconds on the
car, the acceleration in the straights...
If it lost by 6 seconds in the road course, I think the straight line
test was credible.

Really? I can show you a recent video of myself against an 11 sec Camaro, in
which with good launch we are neck and neck, he spins to much and i leave
him like he was standing still, put BUSLENGTHS ON him.

Oh boy, see how dumb you are. Did you know that they retested the Murci and
it beat the Zonda? There were differences in track conditions when they
tested the Zonda and Murci.
