I can show you a video on a 9 second Mustang that would leave you standing
still...then an 8...and a 7...

We can go at it all day. Grow up.

Shows how dumb you are, I didn't see that they retested the Murci. Got a
link to a video?

Freakin' grow up and act like a person rather than a 'tard...stuff the
attitude.

I'm sure there are videos or dyno sheets that prove anything can be
made fast with enough money thrown at it.  But we are talking about
stock vehicles that are street legal and can be bought at a dealer.
Not $15,000 Mustangs that have $50,000 worth of performance parts on
them.

Speaking of which, the Top Gear episode that was on last night was on the 400-hp Mitsu Evo available in Europe. They had great things to say about it, and at the end they decided to run it against the Murci on the track. They put Clarkson in the Evo and some famous rally driver in the Murci. Lap after lap the Murci couldn't put any distance on the Evo.

The Murci's a great car, but there are certainly some smaller dogs chewing on its heels... Smile

Even if the Murcielago is losing in some of these tests it still says
something that a show like this sees the Murci as the reference
standard by which all other models are compared.

There are limits on how fast you can take a 3600lb + car around a corner. Lighter and shorter will always be quicker. Even with less power.

My Friends,
The moral to this story is at the end of the
race it was still an Evo.

what's the real weight of a murcie? I've heard 3600, which is stupidly optimistic, to over 4000. anyone actually wieghed their car?

What this is really saying is that lamborghini simply
needs to raise the power to weight ration on this
overweight model, and should have already done so.

750 bhp would be appropriate for the class, and to add
some...
lightness.

There are limits, but those limits are suprisingly high if you can work
with what you have. No doubt, loosing weight always helps but there is
alot of be said for the proper suspension, wheels and tires.

It's always surpised me at how much a Countach/Diablo/Murci weighs...yet
they are so small.

You are correct but again if the person knows how to use what they got, imagine what they can do with something that is more user friendly.
I don't mind throwing my SVR around a corner sideways but it can be a scary car to drive in the wrong hands.
